2020 EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19
It is with great sadness that we are announcing the cancellation of the 9th Annual Mud Run due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Mud Run is the largest fundraiser of the year for Hands On! Children's Museum, a community non-profit organization that has served over 350,000 children since 2007. The cancellation of this event is a significant loss for the museum. We know this is a difficult time for many people in our community, and therefore, we have revised our no-refund policy for the event.
First and foremost, we are asking all registrants to please consider allowing Hands On! to utilize your ticket purchase to help re-open the museum to the children of western North Carolina. If you are not in the position to convert your ticket purchase into a donation, you can request a refund by sending an email to mud@mudrunwnc.com. You can also call us at 828-697-8333. Please dial 1 when you hear the prompt. Please do not submit any refund or donation requests on this post. Please e-mail or call us directly.

What is the Mighty Mud Run & Festival?
The Mighty Mud Run & Festival, formerly the Mad Mountain Mud Run, is a 3-Mile Muddy Obstacle Course Race at Hendersonville's Berkeley Mills Park. Since its inception in 2012, over 8,000 people have participated in western North Carolina's most anticipated obstacle course race! All proceeds from this event directly benefit Hands On! Children's Museum, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves over 40,000 children annually throughout the western North Carolina community. The 2020 Mighty Mud Run & Festival is CANCELED due to COVID-19.

THE ADULT'S RACE

Adults' Race​ (Ages 12+)
10:00am - 2:30pm
The Adults' Race features a three (3) mile muddy obstacle course designed for mud-loving runners of all abilities. Our course will take you through trails and trees, up hills (and down too), in water, and over many professionally built obstacles.
Timed Individual
Recommended for competitive runners who want to see if they can be the fastest individual through the course! You will take off by yourself and be timed.
Team of 4
Your team captain will register all 4 team members and choose the competitive level best for ALL of your team. Teams are timed and must start and finish together. If you have less than 4 runners, you can participate, but your fee is still the same, and you will not be considered for a prize.
Untimed Individual
You will take off with a group of individuals, and it is your choice if you want to stay with friends or run alone! This is a great way for a group of friends to run together and register individually — this is not recommended for competitive runners and you will not be timed.

THE FAMILY RACE

Family Race (Adults & Kids 10+)
2:45pm - 4:00pm
The Family Race is designed for adults and children ages 10+ to run the ENTIRE three (3) mile muddy obstacle course. Our course will take you through trails and trees, up hills (and down too), in water, and over many professionally built obstacles.

Family Team of 4
Your team captain will register all 4 team members and choose the competitive level best for ALL of your team. Teams are timed and must start and finish together. If you have less than 4 runners, you can participate, but your fee is still the same, and you will not be considered for a prize. Family teams are encouraged to create a team name and to wear a creative costume for the race.
Untimed Individual
You will take off with a group of individuals, and it is your choice if you want to stay with your family or run alone!

THE KID'S RACE
​
Kids' Race (Kids Ages 3 - 10)
4:30pm - 7:30pm
The Kids' Race features a one (1) mile muddy obstacle course designed for youth ages two and up. We also have a variety of MUDDY games for kids of all ages to play in addition to the course.
All youth participants will be grouped by age group to ensure everyone has a FUN and SAFE race experience. Adults are welcome to run with and/or assist their children with the race.
